Socjeta Storiko Kulturali Vittoriosa

Socjeta’ Storiko Kulturali Vittoriosa celebrates its 70th anniversary with a special book on the city’s history. Supported by The Melita Foundation, this engaging guidebook enhances understanding and appreciation of Vittoriosa’s cultural heritage.

Written by historian Michael Galea, this book raises awareness about Vittoriosa’s rich past, including its role as the base for the Order of St. John before moving to Valletta. The guidebook helps visitors explore significant sites and the Vittoriosa Church Museum, which houses treasures like Grand Master De Valette’s Battle Sword and Hat. Engaging and informative, the book encourages a deeper appreciation of Vittoriosa’s cultural heritage, benefiting students, scholars, and residents. This project echoes The Melita Foundation’s commitment to education, cultural preservation, and community involvement.
