Chorus Urbanus

Chorus Urbanus celebrates Maltese culture through choral music and artistic performances. Supported by The Melita Foundation, their premiere of ‘Raġġ’ in Gozo united diverse audiences in a musical celebration of our heritage.

Established in 1975 in Gozo, Chorus Urbanus excels in choral music and artistic performances. On May 18, 2024, they premiered Edward Mifsud’s ‘Raġġ’ at Gozo’s Teatru Astra, blending progressive rock with orchestral tunes. Featuring lyrics by renowned Maltese poets and top vocalists with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, the concert celebrated Maltese culture and brought people together through music.

Making a difference together

Since starting in 2020, The Melita Foundation has backed many projects run by different groups and backgrounds. From local STEM skills for school kids in the Three Cities to global stuff like planting trees, ESG awareness, teaching maritime law and conservation and ensuring our heritage is well taken care of.
