Birdlife

BirdLife Malta’s 2D animation project, backed by The Melita Foundation, is set to make learning at Ghadira Nature Reserve engaging by sharing its rich history and wildlife stories.

As part of the global BirdLife International network, BirdLife Malta is using animation to bring the Ghadira Nature Reserve’s history and wildlife to life, featuring cool creatures like the Mediterranean Chameleon and the Little Ringed Plover. Targeting a wide audience, including school kids and tourists, this animation will be showcased at the reserve’s reception and online, deepening connections with nature and promoting conservation. The Melita Foundation is all in, supporting this tech-savvy project that meshes perfectly with its goals of enhancing learning and fostering a love for nature.

Making a difference together

Since starting in 2020, The Melita Foundation has backed many projects run by different groups and backgrounds. From local STEM skills for school kids in the Three Cities to global stuff like planting trees, ESG awareness, teaching maritime law and conservation and ensuring our heritage is well taken care of.
